Our Mission
Church on The Rock Homer is organized for the purpose of equipping individuals to:
Love God, Love People, Make Disciples
Our Story
Church on the Rock Homer was planted in 2008 with a group of people in Homer who saw an open door to launch a life-giving, gospel-centered, disciple-making local church. With the support and oversight of Church on the Rock in Wasilla and their founding pastor David Pepper, a couple of guys partnered with a team of friends to kick off worship gatherings at West Homer Elementary school.
In 2009 we moved our Sunday worship gatherings to Homer High School and in 2019 we built a permanent office and ministry headquarters for everything that happens Monday through Saturday.
If you come and get to know us, you will discover a few things: We teach through the entire narrative of scripture (cuz there are so many good stories!). We love to serve our community. We love to connect with global missions. We love celebratory worship that highlights Jesus and His work on the cross. We work hard and laugh a lot. And we LOVE the town of Homer.
